Water, Sanitation & Community Health
Clean water and basic health access shape everything else a community can build. This area combines commercial and social models to make both more available.
What this covers
RiverSafe is a commercial drinking-water treatment and bottling plant, built as a social business that creates local jobs across bottling, machine operation and sales while extending access to safe drinking water.
A sustainable menstrual health project distributes reusable cups and discs through nurse-led training, paired with a rural sales model that creates income opportunities for local women alongside improving health access.
How we work
Both projects are built as social businesses first: they need to cover their own running costs over time, not depend on permanent subsidy, which is what makes them realistic to sustain once initial funding ends.
