Textiles, Skills & Enterprise Hubs

Practical skills only translate into income when there is a market to sell into. This area builds full value chains and enterprise hubs around real trades, from raw material through to a finished, sellable product.

What this covers

Fibre to Fabric takes cotton through yarn, fabric and tailoring in a staged pathway: a lean proof-of-concept, a scale-up phase expanding processing and enterprise capacity, a broader value-chain infrastructure phase, and an industrial-scale textile facility with a genuine job-creation pathway at the far end.

A carpentry and woodworking skills hub gives trainees workshop access, machine and tool rental, and starter tool kits so training converts directly into a small business. A diamond cutting and polishing workshop builds local beneficiation capacity and skilled jobs around a resource that, in Sierra Leone, has long been exported unprocessed.

How we work

Every hub is designed around a staged path from training to tool access to independent enterprise, so a trainee’s next step is always clear and the hub itself builds toward local ownership over time.
